A few days later, as I attempted to untangle it, the entire plastic casing broke apart. I must admit, this really solves the purpose for me to play songs from my ipod/iphone while driving. The retractable mechanism works decent and if handled with little bit of care, should last long. All in all a great value for money, if you happen to lose it, you can get another one for $3.
